Configurations Direct Editor Setup Estimated reading: 3 minutes 30 views Editor Setup comes after Core Setup. It does not define what the sign is made of – it defines what customers can do on the canvas: add text, upload images, apply effects, and work on one or two faces. Configure these screens once your required product options are in place.Text SettingText Setting controls whether customers can add and style text on the canvas, and which tools they receive. The screen is split into collapsible cards – expand each section to configure it, then save.Text access and QR codesText Access is the master switch. Turn it on if customers should type or edit lettering in the visual editor; turn it off for image-only or template-locked products. The QR Code toggle adds a tool for inserting scannable codes – useful for menus, Wi-Fi signs, or promotional boards.Text typeChoose how lettering appears on the sign: flat normal text, neon glow, or 3D extruded style. Turn on only the modes you actually manufacture – each one changes how the preview and production files look.Text colorsBuild the palette customers use for text in the editor. This is separate from the product colors in Core Setup. Add named swatches, and optionally let buyers enter a custom color if you support special matches.Font size and formattingSet the smallest and largest font size allowed, the default size when text is first placed, and whether the customer can change size themselves. Below that, switch individual formatting tools on or off – bold, italic, underline, alignment, curved text, and more – so the toolbar stays as simple or as rich as you need.Image SetupImage Setup mirrors Text Setting but for uploaded artwork, clipart, and raster graphics. Configure access first, then colors and upload rules, then production helpers like cutlines and preview scenes.Image accessEnable the image tool when customers may upload their own files or place graphics on the sign. Separate toggles control download (export from the editor) and upload (bring files in). Disable both if the product is text-and-template only.Image colors and upload rulesImage colors work like the text palette but apply to uploaded artwork when you support colorization. The upload script section sets allowed file types, max dimensions, and whether uploads use normal processing or enhanced graphical handling. Turn on custom color preview if buyers should see a sample swatch before picking a spot color.CutlinesCutlines show customers where their sign will be cut – essential for kiss-cut stickers, shaped panels, and similar products. Pick the cutline style that matches your material and turn the feature on only when your production workflow uses it.Filters and scenesFilters are optional image effects (grayscale, blur, sepia, emboss, color tints, and more). Enable only the ones you can actually produce. Scenes add realistic backgrounds – a shop wall, office desk, outdoor facade – so buyers preview how the finished sign will look in context.Sign Part – Double-sided signsEnable Sign Part when the same physical product has two faces (Face A and Face B). Customers switch between faces in the editor, design each side independently, and can copy one face to the other as a starting point. You can rename the face labels, charge an extra fee for double-sided jobs, and control whether both sides share the same options or pricing multiplier.Leave this disabled for single-sided panels – the customizer stays on one canvas without confusing the buyer.
